CPA Uniform Mobility System
I am writing this post as a response to several inquiries I have recently received.
I have recently received several inquiries from individuals who are not North Carolina residents (i.e they live and work in another state), as to whether I am able to both file and complete their federal and state income tax returns. The short answer to this question is that YES, I am able to do this for residents of the 48 contiguous US states.
However, depending on your tax situation and the complexity of your taxes and your desire for ‘hand’s on’ assistance you may prefer to have a CPA that is local to your city and/or state in order to be able to have face to face interactions with your CPA. If you are comfortable with both electronic remote communication and we are able to effectively communicate remotely, then I can assist you. I suggest contacting me and we can discuss your specific situation and my ability to remotely complete your federal and state taxes.
I have attached a link which discusses the CPA Uniform Mobility System. The CPA Uniform Mobility System, which is a provision of the Uniform Accountancy Act (UAA) permits CPAs to provide services across state lines.
